The skipjack Nathan of Dorchester was built in Cambridge, MD by local volunteers with traditional materials under the supervision of Master Shipwright Robert Ruark and was launched in 1994. The Nathan is the last of the traditional Chesapeake Skipjacks built and offers sailing cruises, educational programs, and serves as a sailing ambassador.
